Women's Ministry

Encouraging One Another

The Women’s Ministry at Hamilton Baptist Church seeks to bring women together in all of life’s stages, helping to develop their God-given potential in their homes, church and community. Our goal is to share the love of Jesus, keeping the balance between being ministered to and ministering to others, all for the glory of God and the building of the body. “And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY:

The ladies of HBC enjoy a Fall and Spring Bible study each year on Thursday mornings and evenings. This Fall’s study is a book study called “Face to Face | Walking with God in the Wilderness” and recounts the biblical narrative in Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy to show how Moses, the tabernacle, and the wilderness journey were pictures of the promises fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The morning session meets in the Fireplace Room at 9:30 a.m. and the evening session meets in the House of Blessing at 7:00 p.m. Childcare is available for the morning session!

CLASSES AVAILABLE AT 9 A.M. ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

GLEANERS: Meets in the Fireplace Room. To aid in the study of scripture, the class is currently using a topical study guide published quarterly by Lifeway.

GOODWILL: Led by Ginny Clemens and Linda Hackney in the Cry Room next to the sanctuary. They like to encourage discussion and interaction with each other. The ladies are very faithful in their attendance and participation.

WOMEN’S FALL RETREAT “MARKED BY MUCH FRUIT”:

Dear Ladies of HBC, you are cordially invited to the 2026 Women’s Retreat entitled “Marked by Much Fruit.” This year’s theme will help us explore cultivating a love of Bible study, loving our sisters through discipleship, and loving the lost through evangelism. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite family members and friends to join us as we are encouraged to walk out our faith in Christ.

Come expecting meaningful worship, powerful teaching, and heartfelt fellowship that will strengthen your walk with the Lord. Mark your calendars for October 2, 6:00-9:00 p.m., and October 3, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and invite a friend to join you! This retreat will take place at Hamilton Baptist Church and costs $85 per person.

This year’s speaker is Sharonda Cooper. Sharonda Cooper serves as a content coordinator for women’s initiatives at The Gospel Coalition. She’s a Bible teacher, and she serves women through The Charles Simeon Trust. Sharonda holds two engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing her MDiv in apologetics and philosophy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has written and contributed to several books, including Turn Your Eyes: A Bible Study on the PsalmsEvangelism (part of TGC’s Disciplines of Devotion series), and Wisdom for Parenting, a devotional for moms. Sharonda lives in Texas with her family and serves on the praise team at their church.
