During the week of January 28 to February 3, we will seek the Lord in prayer.  As we begin a new year, may we ask God to breathe new life into our church’s desire and devotion to prayer.  May we resolve anew to pray this year, perhaps to pray like we have never done before.  May we do what He asked and “continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 4:2)

To help us understand and to encourage us to pray, let us read a book together on prayer.  Pastor Steven encourages us in this. “Of all the books I’ve read on prayer, Keller’s book ‘Prayer:  Experiencing Awe and Intimacy With God’ has been the most life-changing.  I greatly encourage you to consider the truths contained within this book.”  A limited number of books are available in the lobby to purchase for $10.
