WOMEN's ministry

The Women's Ministry at Hamilton Baptist Church seeks to bring women together in all of life's stages, helping to develop their God-given potential in their homes, church and community.  Our goal is to share the love of Jesus, keeping the balance between being ministered to and ministering to others, all for the glory of God and the building of the body.  "And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near."

(Hebrews 10:24-25)

WOMEN'S WINTER BIBLE STUDY:  "A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place" is an 11-week study by Beth Moore. Sessions will be from 9:15 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 8:45 p.m. Thursdays beginning January 10.  We will explore the significance of the Old Testament tabernacle and be challenged to prepare our hearts to be a dwelling place for the Most High God.  Childcare provided in the morning only.  Study books cost $18.  Sign-up at the Welcome Center.

WOMAN-TO-WOMAN MENTORING MINISTRY ORIENTATION COFFEE #3: Join us Sunday, January 6, at the home of Stacey Noll (38748 Hughesville Rd, Leesburg) from 2 to 4 p.m.  We will discuss what it means to be a mentor as you encourage another woman or to be a mentee as you are supported by another woman.  You will be given the information to determine if you wish to become involved in the important ministry.    Sign-up at the Welcome Center.

WEDNESDAY MORNING WOMEN'S PRAYER:  Share in the ministry of intercessory prayer with other women from the church.  All women are encouraged to drop in anytime for a few minutes or an hour!  The group meets weekly at 8 a.m. in the Media Center.  Contact Marjorie Waggy at (540) 882-3082 for more information.

GLEANERS: Led by Esther Stratton in the Fireplace Room.  To aid in the study of scripture, the class is currently using a topical study guide published quarterly by LifeWay.

GOODWILL:  Led by Ginny Clemens and Linda Hackney in the Cry Room next to the sanctuary.  They like to encourage discussion and interaction with each other.  The ladies are very faithful in their attendance and participation.
